mr nice was brought to hog's breath cafe at chijmes for his birthday celebration. to add a touch of surprise, the menu was decided when i made the reservation. deciding on the menu was easy cause mr nice loves chicken! i informed them that this is a birthday celebration cause chelle told me the staff would stand around and sing a birthday song! aaah, i meant to have that happen for the sabo element! but it didnt happen so i sang the song to him myself.. we finished the mud pie! yummy!

my hdd has died on me!!! since 20 june!!! i sent my hdd to a self proclaimed "data recovery expert" at sim lim and they just informed me today that they cannot recover anything! aww.. bunny's puppy pictures are all gone!!! mr nice 3 years with me are all gone too! i cant accept it. this is the 1st time my hdd has died on me. dont ask me why i didnt do any backup!!! i'm upset!!!!

drink driving

we were on our way from east coast mac to sorina's place for the final game between the french and italian when we got hit by a drink driver! good thing i had yan and na with me cause i think i would have let the matter past if i was alone. the drink driver was rude and drunk! no apology and offer to settle the damage. it was slight scratches but we couldnt let him off as he was so cocky! he drove off saying we can call the police and so that was the 1st thing we did. the police told me they'll get the drink driver at his place and they will keep me updated. they took the whole night and only called me in the morning. i was told they caught him, he failed the breath analyzer test and that he would be charged in court. revenge is sweet! all thanks to yan and na!!!

our experience
this whole V&SD did not take over 30 mins. it was overall a good smooth experience. just counting some simple blessings. the wet weather did not dampen our moods. good thing it was only a light drizzle. the ROM carpark was packed as usual and when it was our turn to take a vacant lot, the guy who was leaving gave us his parking coupons as there was 30 minutes remaining in his coupons. sweeet!

the ROM was bustling because its 20 June 2006. its to a good place to be at coz its happy faces all around. after we were done with our deed, i thought that we should at least take one picture since that is the only time we are required at Fort Canning for our whole getting married process. the pro photographer who took the charity shot for us, he went "OK! one more shot!". haha, we walked away thinking we saved on photo taking fees.

thats it. my 1st official tiny step toward being Mrs Fong.

while i was snapping pix, mr nice saw mr lee exiting the site. he recognises us! he led us into the site and we climbed the stairs up to unit #02-03. my first line upon stepping in, "my living room?! so small!!!" the same applies to the kitchen. my new kitchen appears to be half the size of my current home's. i have been preparing myself for it to be small, we know its equivalent to a HBD 3-roomers, but nothing beats having the real thing before your eyes.

we proceeded to bombard mr lee with all the customization requests. he wasnt taking notes but he seems accomodating to all of our requests. i hope he remembers all of them.

mr lee and esther said we just saw the apartment in the raw state, probably we wont feel the small-ness when we see the final product. i'm not pinning high hopes but like i was telling mr nice, being small has its pros too.

mr lee also says, that the apartment will be ready by end of this year, if not early 2007. that means more time to save, and more waiting!

mr nice's papa is home!

mr nice's papa had been hospitalised since 2nd may 2006. he was leisurely heading for his chicken rice dinner when he suddenly felt very weak. fortunately his relatives happened to be nearby when uncle called for help. they assisted uncle to a clinic and was soon rushed to NUH. uncle was diagnosed to have suffered a stroke attack. doctor assessed and deduced that uncle have had a mild stroke attack before, so this makes it his 2nd stroke attack.

the first time i visited uncle, he was in ICU. it was a heart breaking sight. he tries to lighten up the mood by talking to us. but we were soon adviced by the nurse that we shouldnt let uncle speak much as he's exhausting himself.

uncle made fast recovery as he soon upgraded from being dependent on 100% oxygen supply to 50%. but he was still in ICU. its good to note, though, that all of us are optimistic on uncle's progress. i guess it boosts uncle's morale in a way.

after a week in ICU, uncle was finally transferred to the normal ward. he was totally off the oxygen aid and he was speaking like he used to. he could also move his arms and legs as he wish. i'm really glad to see uncle recovering in such a speedy pace!

today, mr nice messages me to inform that uncle can be discharged. i'm so glad. the doctors have assessed uncle's condition and deem uncle good for discharge! through this episode, i got to know uncle better. he's strong, positive, jovial and he has a really loving family.

we caught Eight Below at plaza sing today. ITS A MUST WATCH SHOW!!! will definately get the original dvd once it's out. Miss J, still it was sweet of you to have gotten a copy of it for me from Shanghai. hehe.

saw this nice pair of peep-toe heels from charlesnkeith. i'm surprised that mr nice likes it cause its gold in colour. staff from plaza sing checked that marina square has my size. mr nice sweetly suggests that we can trot down to marina square to get it!

looong sunday! no pictures for this post. should have brought the camera along! cause this is the 1st time that our parents meet each other! mr nice booked the dragon phoenix restaurant at river valley for our parents to meet. tomorrow's mr nice's mum's birthday so he thought it would be a good chance to ask my parents out for dim sum meal together. kill 2 birds with one stone. can celebrate the mum's birthday and let our parents meet!

both party reach the venue on time! only to find the restaurant closed. mr nice starts sweating. makes the call and was told that river valley branch is closed for reno. his booking is actually placed at the liang court branch. both parties then head on to liang court. which is just right for us so we can bring the folks to peony-jade restaurant for a peek! the dim sum session went surprisingly well! merry merry! at the restuarant visit, mr nice's mum commented that the restaurant is very nice! very romantic! cheers!!!

next place we had to run to is the Blissful Outdoor Wedding Show. we decided that we have to engage a bridal studio today. its a really tiring process. talking to all the sales people. we finally settled on French Studio & Bridal Boutique.

we then rushed down to joo chiat to meet a interior designer. he waited 1 hr for us. when mr nice finally managed to contact him [mr nice had been calling a wrong number the whole afternoon. we had wanted to inform the interior designer that we would be late.], the interior designer was ok with the wait and said he'll be packing his dinner. mr nice was feeling very hungry so we went to pack food too! this store that we were buying at is very near our future home. i felt extra good buying from there. i was standing at the store thinking, " wow, i'm going to be getting my dinner from this place very often in future." there is a rojak store there. i bought from it. its good! good rojak near my new home makes a happy me!

ok, back to the interior designer. he's alvin from reztnrelax. we gave him some guidelines as to what we would like for our future home when we met him at the Modern Homes fair at expo. we were surprised to see that he had drawn up 2 proposals that were different from what mr nice and me had wanted. and his 2 proposals, we like! though he managed to stick close to the budget we had set for him, it would have been better if its lower than the budget! visualizing his concept in my mind, the anxious feeling got stronger. but we can only wait.

some dampers for the day. mr nice's exhaust cover of his black knight came off. we realised it at sentosa. due to very limited parking space at sentosa, we had to park at a zig-zag lane. we parked right outside the chalet. i thought we wouldnt get fined if sentosa had assumed that we're at the chalets. but we came back to see a summon on the wind screen. $75. sigh..such stuff have to happen on the day when mr nice specially lovingly sweetly planned for me.

we had a loving day! totally forgot that its april fool's day! thank you, mr nice. i really enjoyed myself. please keep such surprises coming ok!

mr nice wanted me to plan something for us tonight. i thought a nice dinner and movie will be nice enough. its the company that matters! i wanted him to have a chance to bathe and wear his comfort gear before we start so that he can be more relaxed and comfortable. we had dinner at our proposal site (same table, same seats) and watched ultraviolet at the cathay.

the cathay, the new place. wonder if they'll be able to fix the carpark problem. we had to wait to get out because the exit is a short distance away from the traffic light junction. bad design.

wow! great company does make a difference! i managed to stay awake and yawn not more than 5 times and enjoy a nice non-stop chat marathon session till 5 last night! we haven't done this for a long long time. this, as in chillin' at a coffee place till wee hours. our past record was chatting through the night up till the morning sun is up and having breakfast at a market! i thought age has caught up with us (or maybe just me), but apparently, it still can be done. haha!

i have to post this picture up. (she suggested i post it up. if i don't, she will ask why i didn't as if i discriminate her. so...) let's talk about her. it's fun to hear from this lady speak. she's candid, straight mouth and always offer a different perspective to things/happenings! it's going to be weird if i am to have this big paragraph singing her praises. she's vulgar. hehe. not that i mind, just that most people around me speak boringly like me. so its always refreshing to be around her! oh, she's Sorina.

i have gotten myself a job with a pay package that i am satisfied with! thanks to myself *proud* for negotiating for a higher paycheck instead of saying "ok! when do i start?". haha. that was what i did when the HR from my previous workplace offered me a position. silly me.

mr nice was very upset when he got to see the nightlife at joo chiat when he was there last night. the stretch behind our apartment is lined with pubs, karoke and budget hotels.

we met with the banker to sign the documents for the home loan at kallang mac in the afternoon. mr nice was so upset that he wanted to put off signing the document until he had met with our apartment agent, whom we're supposed to meet with after we're done with the banker. i was sitting there feeling confused. but he eventually gave in and signed, maybe he cannot stand my disappointed face.

we met with our housing agent armed with questions. the first thing i asked when i saw her was whether there's going be a gate at the bus stop side. to which she said yes! there's going to be a secured gate there! that is important because then i wouldnt have to access the apartment walking past the sleazy street with the hum sup uncles looking at me. with me feeling satisfied, weilun started asking her about the sleazy street. we were relieved because our agent assured us that the pubs and sleazy joints will all eventually go by the time our apartment is up because Joo Chiat is not a legal place for prostitution. i'm glad that she managed to convince mr nice cause mr nice can be a tough nut to crack sometimes.

then i asked about sound coming out from the mosque. she said that its nothing to worry about cause the sound is negligible! we're not that near to the mosque and she said if we do get disturbed by the sounds from the mosque, she'll pay us money!

the developer came by and sat with us. he's a very nice and friendly man! i call him mr lee, while mr nice addresses him mr lim. (because i heard him being introduced as "mr lee", while mr nice heard "mr lim". ) mr lee had offered to install a doggie gate for Bunny FOC when he know we're one of the buyers of the apartments. today, he told us that if we would like the whole living room to be floored in parquet, he can do it for us at no extra charge too! mr nice and me loves platforms and we discussed about having platforms in the living room. mr lee said that they can do it for us too, at a low charge.

our housing agent gives us a very sincere feeling. she asks us to call her whenever we have questions. the developer seems very reliable and trustworthy too. we left the place feeling excited about our future again.

oh~ we also drove past president nathan's place! we're neighbours with mr nathan!

it is supposed to be ready in feb 2007 in papers but the agent said that they target to have it ready for move-in in oct 2006.

i'm so excited! we don't have to worry about neighbours complaining that we have husky at home! i'm gonna have my own kitchen! with my fridge! washing machine! n oven!!! i'm gonna be baking!!! we're gonna have aircon in the living room WHEN the weather is unbearable!!! the bus stop is right in front of my apartment! (though the bus stop only services bus 33.) can you tell how excited i am???

daddy proposed! we're going to be living, eating, sleeping together everyday soon!!! i'm sure daddy and mummy will give me my own room when we have our own place!

daddy and mummy got ready and brought me out! reaching the destination, i realised i'm at my hubby's place again! i just gave it to him 2 nights ago! he didn't know to get to it on when we just got together, and now he's wanting it every other free moment he has got!!!

i was sprung a surprise on 23 december. its not an easy job surprising cancerians as we're very sensitive. i was with my galfriends and W is supposed to come fetch me and we were to bring Bunny for mating with Magic. while travelling in the car, W informed that Sky has something on and can only meet us after 11. so i offered to dial the number for W since he's driving but W adamantly refused to let me have his phone! well, that is one fishy part. so he managed to talk to Sky and confirmed that we'll only be meeting him after 11 at his place. after the phone call, W suggested dinner at thai express as he suddenly has craving for their olive rice.

he drove into the tiny car park at the siglap thai express. there was a car that had wanted to park directly in front of thai express but was asked to leave by a thai express staff. after the car vacated the lot, W conveniently parked at that same lot. this is the 2nd fishy part.

so we were seated at our usual place. i was suspecting that this is part of a surprise for me for my xmas gift. i rationalised that since i already knew what gift i'll be getting, he had planned a surprise on giving me the gift. so after our dinner, we were expecting the dessert. i see a thai express delivering a silver serving bowl.

before i was served this surprise, i was already asking him questions cause of the fishyness. he tried to deny but he, as a honest guy, cannot lie well! i can see through him when he lies! the staff removed the silver bowl and exposed the DKNY box that was within. i love the watch and had asked him to give that as a xmas gift for me so he wouldn't be getting me a bad pressie. the dkny box opened up to show a citigems ring box.

i pushed the box to him and said "this is a wrong one! this isn't my gift!". that was my 1st reaction! he then asked me to wait, close my eyes and not peep. then i was guided to his car where he had opened his trunk that he had decorated with balloons and a big bouquet of 99 roses.

there, he got down on his knee, said his speech and asked his question. ok, i didn't really get his speech as i was really overwhelmed. people were looking and a driver who drove past was shouting "say yes say yes la!". kind of embarrassing. i said yes by nodding my head and people start clapping! wow! so romantic!

i don't know how to show off the ring so i showed it in a punch. hehe

my 1st time

i don't know how it happened! Magic was behind me and i felt so much pain i cried!!! i believe this is the greatest pain i can ever feel and its my 1st time crying. i woke everyone at Sky's home up. they came down to see what happened. Sky shouldn't be surprised cause he had placed me with Magic in the kitchen hoping for this to happen!

ok, i've lost my first time. it was Magic's first time too. i think i'm safe from dieases.
